يتوجه السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، اليوم، إلى الأردن، للمشاركة في المؤتمر الدولي للاستجابة الإنسانية الطارئة لغزة، الذي يعقد بدعوة مشتركة من السيد الرئيس والعاهل الأردني وسكرتير عام الأمم المتحدة، وتستضيفه المملكة الأردنية الشقيقة بالبحر الميت، ويهدف إلى حشد دعم المجتمع الدولي لجهود الإغاثة الإنسانية في قطاع غزة، وذلك بمشاركة عدد من رؤساء الدول والحكومات والمنظمات الإنسانية والإغاثية الدولية.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار أحمد فهمي بأن المؤتمر ينعقد في ظل تفاقم الأوضاع بشكل غير مسبوق في قطاع غزة، حيث من المقرر أن يتناول المؤتمر الشق الإنساني الخاص بمسألة نفاذ المساعدات إلى قطاع غزة، وكيفية مواجهة الكارثة الإنسانية التي يُعاني منها المدنيون بالقطاع، ومن ثم دعم جهود الإغاثة الإنسانية لوكالات الأمم المُتحدة، لاسيما وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين “الأونروا”، والمنظمات الأخرى العاملة في المجال الإنساني، والمعنية باستلام وتوزيع المساعدات داخل قطاع غزة.
ومن المقرر كذلك أن يتشاور السيد الرئيس على هامش المؤتمر مع القادة المشاركين بالمؤتمر حول مستجدات جهود التوصل لوقف إطلاق النار وإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi heads to Jordan to participate in the Emergency International Conference on Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza, which was jointly called-for by the President, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, and UN Secretary General, António Guterres. The conference, which is hosted by the Kingdom of Jordan on the Dead Sea coast, aims to mobilize support by the international community for humanitarian relief efforts. Also attending are a number of heads of state and government as well as international humanitarian and relief organizations.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, said the conference convenes amid an unprecedented and exacerbating situation in the Gaza Strip. The conference is expected to tackle the humanitarian aspect with regard to access for humanitarian aid and relief into Gaza, ways to address the dire humanitarian catastrophe the Palestinian civilians have been enduring in the sector, and reinforcing humanitarian relief efforts by UN agencies, notably the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) as well as other organizations operating in the humanitarian field and involved in receiving and distributing humanitarian aid and relief inside the Gaza Strip.
On the sidelines of the conference, the President is expected to consult with other leaders on developments in efforts to reach a ceasefire and enforce the flow humanitarian aid into the sector.
